From Tuesday 21 July, one of the legends of game show Jeopardy! will begin his 13-episode run (12-episode winning streak) on SBS VICELAND. That man is unexpected champion, Austin Rogers. Unlike other champions who are lawyers or teachers, Rogers is a bartender from New York City, and while most champions quit their jobs after winning big on the show, he still works at the same bar. But he is also capitalising on his newfound fame; he is hosting a podcast called “,” writing a book, became the brand ambassador for Virgil's Soft Drinks and he's hosting trivia nights making him possibly the best qualified trivia host out there.

Standing at the podium with a thick mop of hair (which sadly seems to get smaller as his prize pool grows), a glorious beard and a joyous and animated attitude, he has quickly become not just a champion but a firm fan favourite. Do not expect him to stare awkwardly and obediently at the camera when he is introduced each episode, each intro will bring a new mini improv performance from Rogers. Legendary host Alex Trebek said

Rogers entered Jeopardy! on a whim and what a whim it turned out to be! By playing boldly he was able to rack up his prize money quickly. Tune in and watch him earn his place in the history books, with an all-time Top 5 spot for regular season winnings.
Jeopardy! airs weeknights from 7PM on SBS VICELAND. Austin Rogers' 13-episode run begins Tuesday 21 July.
