International spy thriller Deep State is coming soon to SBS

The taut new spy drama brings together a great international cast of actors including stars from Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and Game of Thrones.

Coming to SBS is the new international spy thriller Deep State. Starring British actor Mark Strong (The Kingsmen, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) and Joe Dempsie (Skins, Game of Thrones), the show is about a retired agent who is called back into the field for just one more job...one that may have deeply personal ramifications for the spy.
Deep State was co-created by Matthew Parkhill (Rogue) and Australian director Robert Connolly (Balibo, The Slap). The two creators will share directing duties on the show, with Connolly directing the first four episodes. Connolly filmed the series in Morocco and London over a seven month-period.

The series is the latest spy drama series to air on SBS, home to great spy thrillers that have included The Night Manager, , , and .

It will debut on SBS later in the year.
