The FIFA World Cup is almost upon us and if you want to be one of the billions of people watching (the last World Cup had an audience of 3.2 billion), you're going to need to brush up on your football facts so you're not left in the dark come 14 June when things kick off in Russia.

For a month, all anyone will be talking about is the World Cup and how far the Socceroos go, so make sure you familiarise yourself with SBS's schedule (we're airing  live and in HD). Also be sure to check out the video below, which details the Socceroos' journey to the finals. Impressive, right? As a bonus, we've sprinkled in a few extra titbits that you can drop into casual conversation...
SBS will broadcast a total of 25 premium World Cup games LIVE, FREE and in HD, including the opening match, semi-finals, final, and all Socceroos fixtures. For more information on how to watch, go .
