First, after five seasons, it was cancelled. Then, the fans . And it was picked up again. So the fans . Now, after a wild ride, season six of Brooklyn Nine-Nine is almost upon us, premiering on Friday, 11 January on SBS VICELAND.

To catch you up before the much-anticipated return of Det. Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), Captain Holt (Andre Braugher), Gina Linetti (Chelsea Peretti) and the whole team at the 99th precinct, a video has been put together recapping the first five seasons. For newcomers and diehard fans alike, this refresher of the story so far is a real treat:
While season five was filmed with the future of the show hanging in the balance, and thus could’ve ended rather neatly with Jake and Amy’s “toit nups”, season six has a lot to get stuck into.

Will the chemistry between Jake and Amy (Melissa Fumero) be different now that they’re married? Will Rosa’s new love interest, Alicia (Gina Rodriguez) make a return? And the big one: did Captain Holt get the job as NYPD Commissioner?

Thankfully, there’s not long to wait and find out.

Season six of Brooklyn Nine-Nine premieres Friday, 11 January at 8:30pm on SBS VICELAND and SBS On Demand.
