25-year-old taxi driver Akbar Ali was allegedly beaten up by four teenagers in Melbourne’s north around 2.45 am on Anzac day, reports.

Four teenagers – a 17-year-old girl, 16-year-old girl, 15-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy have been arrested.

reports Ali had driven these teenagers to Bridge Inn Road, Wollert when one of them told him that a relative will pay the $45 fare and walked away.

Ali attempted to restrain one of the boys when three other teens allegedly punched and kicked him, police said.

The attack left Ali with broken teeth.

“I just told them, ‘don’t do this’,” Ali told outside Northern Hospital this afternoon.
The report stated the teens could face charges including affray, recklessly causing injury, taxi fare evasion and assault.

Mr Ali has been released from hospital and plans to return to work next week.

“It’s my job, so of course I have to get back to driving. It’s my living.”
