An Indian taxi driver in Brisbane was punched twice in his face, abused verbally before a teenage passenger drove his taxi off.

The incident occurred on Sunday morning at 4am when taxi driver Dilraj was asked for a free ride from three teenagers.

The ride would have cost $50 but Dilraj refused. That is when the 16-year-old teenager started abusing him and punched him twice.

9News shared footage of the incident where the girl is seen hitting and slapping the taxi driver.

“Who you calling ---- mother ----,” the girl can be heard yelling.

“(I’ll) smash your camera too.”
After a heated exchange, the girl drove off with his cab and crashed into a parked car. She abandoned the taxi before running off.

Police have identified the 16-year-old teenager but are still looking for her.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
