How do you celebrate Eid al-Fitr this year?

After a month of fasting, Muslim around the world celebrate Eid al-Fitr. In Indonesia it was celebrated in the evening of Apr 21 for Muhammadiyah followers or the evening of Apr 22 for the NU followers. Muhamaddiyah and NU (Nahdatul Ulama) are the two largest Islamic organisations in Indonesia.


What do people usually do after their Eid prayer early in the morning? Suryandaru, an Indonesian who studies at Flinders University in Adelaide, Zico Albaiquini, a PhD candidat at Melbourne University from Bandung and Sri Kurnia Khotijah, an Indonesian who lives in Melbourne talked to Sri Dean about their plans for the Lebaran (Eid al-Fitr).
