When the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia contacted them to perform at the 2024 Indonesian Festival, they tried to show some of their works including several drama performances.
However, Steven, one of Nogei's members, thought that they should make a special performance to be shown in Melbourne.
Steven said that the drama performance "Welcome to the East" was a work created by Steven by taking several elements from their home region, Sentani, Papua.
Through this performance, Nogei send the message to the people that we need nature. If nature is damaged, we cannot get good things.
