The Orphan Relative Visa (subclass 117) is one of the many visa options for immigrants who wish to enter Australia. This episode of Settlement Guide takes a look at who is eligible to apply for an Orphan Relative visa (subclass 117).

Like other Australian visas, the Orphan Relative (subclass 117) visa has a specific set of requirements that must be met.

This visa allows a child to come to Australia to live with relatives if their parents die, are unable to care for them, or cannot be found.

To be eligible for an Orphan Relative visa, the child must be outside Australia and be sponsored by an eligible relative.
