In a number of ways, the COVID-19 pandemic impacted on people from overseas who wanted to come and live and work or study in Australia. Times have changed and restrictions have eased. In the election campaign the parties have promised programs and growth that will need migrants. But in one aspect the major parties’ migration policies differ.
