The government is updating the News Media Bargaining Code, imposing charges on social media platforms and browsers.

The Federal Government has announced plans to force digital platforms to pay publishers for Australian news content.


The proposed News Bargaining Incentive will make social media and search platforms pay a percentage of their revenue unless they are willing to strike a deal with publishers.
