Cash to stay king for groceries, medicines and petrol

Businesses across Australia will be required to accept cash from customers for essential items.


This is to support those who prefer less-used payment methods.

Around 1.5 million people in Australia are believed to use cash for more than 80 per cent of their face-to-face payments.
