"Italia addio, non tornerò", a 50-minute documentary, is the largest video collection so far of testimonies of our young emigrants gathered on three continents, based on a sample of 350,000 people contacted via social media. It was produced by the Cresci Foundation for the History of Italian Emigration based Lucca.
The video summarises, thanks to a mix of 30 testimonies and speakers curated by the director of the Foundation (Pietro Luigi Biagioni) all the data and elements that have emerged up to now on the expat phenomenon.
Barbara Pavarotti, who is the creator of the project and also the director of the documentary, explained to what were the main results of her inquiry.
