Last Friday marked six months since opposition politician Alexei Navalny died in prison. Over the weekend, supporters of the late politician gathered for memorial rallies in different cities around the world, including Australia. In Melbourne, the meeting has traditionally been held at the Princes Bridge. People stood with posters with portraits of Alexei Navalny and then went to the Victoria State Library to write letters to political prisoners who remain in Russian prisons.
