It turns out Karen Walker isn't Bi and 'Will and Grace' viewers aren't happy

So the Will and Grace writers have gone right ahead and cancelled 20Bi-teen.

In an episode that aired in March, popular Will and Grace character Karen Walker was revealed (or so viewers thought) to be bisexual, engaging in a tender kiss with office neighbour Nikki, played by new cast member Samira Wiley.

Getting to know one another, Karen addressed Nikki's sexuality, asking if she “is permanently parked in the lesbian zone" or if she moves her "car to alternate sides of the street from time-to-time for plowing?"

“This car is parked, up on blocks, with a hundred tickets on the windshield,” Nikki answered.

Trapped indoors during a snow storm, the pair eventually found a connection and kissed, causing viewers to celebrate the confirmation of Karen's long tip-toed around bisexuality.

However, the show's writers had other plans, forcing Karen to end her fling with Nikki and reveal herself to be 100 per cent straight.

And people were... not happy.
Karen's sexuality has long been left to speculation, with Madonna describing her as having a "weird bisexual vibe" during a cameo on the show's original run.

Now fans are fuming that the promising character development was left on the cutting room floor, with some labeling the move bisexual erasure.

"Karen Walker being straight is the biggest joke out there and the writers did her an absolute disservice on 20biteen," one viewer tweeted.
