We might've only just survived the 2019 holiday season, but already LGBTIQ+ cinephiles are looking forward to Christmas THIS year, when Kristen Stewart's lesbian holiday rom-com Happiest Season is expected to be released.

Anticipation for the film grew today with news that Alison Brie, Aubrey Plaza, Victor Garber, Dan Levy and Mary Steenburgen have joined Stewart and co-star Mackenzie Davis on set for the film, which is currently shooting in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.

The film, directed by Clea DuVall, is set to premiere on Nov. 20 and follows Stewart's character as she plans to propose to her girlfriend (played by Davis) at her family's annual holidays get-together. However, it's soon revealed that her girlfriend hasn't come out of the closet to her conservative parents (Steenburgen and Garber).
Eagle-eyed social media users have been following the film's production closely, with footage being shared of Stewart and Levy filming on the snow-covered streets of Pittsburgh. One fan even revealed that the stars were filming next door to her house.

"Ah, no big deal," she tweeted.

"Kristen Stewart, Mackenzie Davis, and Allison Brie are all gonna be filming an apparently lesbian Christmas movie next door to me next week."

We can't wait to see how this turns out.
