Nike has released a new commercial for Pride Month, calling for the end of discrimination in sports as part of its ongoing 'BETRUE' campaign.

The short film, which was uploaded to social media on Thursday, features a number of high profile LGBTIQ+ athletes, including Caster Semenya, Chris Mosier, Brittney Griner and Sue Bird.

"Every winner knows victory doesn't happen alone. But none of us can truly win until the rules are the same for everyone," the ad says.

"None of us can reach our full potential until we recognize each other's greatness. And the playing field won't be level until all of us are equal. So when we win, it won't be by ourselves."
Semenya, who has appeared in Nike commercials in the past, is an Olympic and world champion 800-meter runner who, in May, after the IAAF and the Court of Arbitration for Sport set exclusive new regulations to limit testosterone levels in athletes.

"The IAAF will not drug me or stop me from being who I am," Semenya said in a statement.

According to magazine, Nike has also ramped up its Pride efforts by offering financial support to 20 LGBTQ+ organisations, including the National Gay Basketball Association and , an organisation for LGBTIQ+ athletes and allies.
