As the first anniversary of the Pulse nightclub shooting approaches, the trailer for a new documentary about the horrifying attack on the LGBT+ community in Orlando has been released.

One Pulse—directed by —focuses on what happened inside the club during the 192 minutes it took police to storm the building and overtake the attacker.

“Police first exchanged gunfire with the shooter and then decided not to pursue him into the bathroom. That was the most critical decision of that night,” Minn told .

The story is told through devastating interviews with people who were at Pulse on the night of the shooting and survived the ordeal.

The victims were mostly queer people of colour. The lives of the 49 people who died and the 53 people who were injured will be remembered at memorials around the world on June 12.
The mayor of Orlando has proclaimed the anniversary with a number of events planned to mark the tragedy.

Minns is currently searching for a distributor for One Pulse but plans to release the film later this year.
